The autumn weather is in full force, and plenty of shoppers are on the lookout for new jackets and coats to keep them warm, cosy and dry from the relentless showers. A long, puffer coat complete with a faux fur hoodfrom New Look has received positive reviews so far, with shoppers praising it for its ability to keep them dry and warm (which is certainly helpful in this weather).
The coat costs £74.99 and is available in sizes six to 24. It's available in off-white, khaki, dark burgundy, and black, making it the perfect neutral coat for a range of outfits.
The long-line coat comes just above the knee of someone who is 5ft 9 in (like the model in the photo). However, if you're shorter, you might be better suited to one of the coats in New Look's Petite range. While the coat comes in tall, it doesn't seem to be in stock in petite at the time of writing.
The coat is lightly padded, though customers say it is thick enough to keep them warm. Several customer reviews also metion that it's roomy enough to wear a thick jumper underneath it.
It zips up the centre all the way up to the funnel collar under the chin and has poppers to keep the wind out. Around the detachable faux-fur-lined hood, there are more poppers to double up and protect from the chill. The coat also has an adjustable waist panel to cinch in if you prefer a more fitted look.
Reviews of the coat are very positive. One customer wrote: "Great buy, perfect for cold wet days. Lovely warm, long coat. Bought my usual size and is spacious enough to fit warm jumper underneath and not feel restricted. Wore in the rain and kept me nice and dry. Nice size hood, stayed up, and could see under the fur trim."
Another person wrote: "This stands out from other puffers as it has elastic at the waist giving you more of a shape. Very warm, good length, and the hood is not too big and hanging over your face. Love the lining of the hood."
While no shoppers have mentioned any negative aspects of the coat, when commenting on the sizing many people noted that it came up much bigger than their usual. One customer who said they were a size 14 bought a size 10, while another bought a size 14 when their usual size is a 16.
