The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has commenced the self-slot selection process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE) 2025 Tier-I, starting today, October 22nd. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be conducted at various centers across the country starting November 12th.

This move is intended to provide candidates with greater flexibility and convenience in scheduling their exams.
According to the SSC's October 18th notice, this new feature allows candidates to select their preferred exam city, date, and shift based on availability, aiming to make the exam process more candidate-friendly. The portal for slot selection will be open from October 22nd to October 28th.
SSC CHSL 2025 Self Slot Selection: How to Select a Slot
Go to the SSC's official website, ssc.gov.in.
Now log in by entering your registration number and password.
After this, candidates will be given the option to select the exam city, date, and shift.
Candidates will see three cities, the same ones they selected during the application.
Based on availability, the portal will display the available slots (date and shift) for these cities.
Select your preferred exam city, date, and shift from the available options.
The Commission has also stated that the available slots may be reduced for candidates opting for regional language exams. If all slots are filled in the three cities selected previously, the portal will display a list of other cities where slots are still available. Candidates can choose from these.
Once a candidate selects their slot, no further changes can be made. Candidates should carefully check their selected date, shift, and city before final submission. If a candidate does not exercise this option by the due date, SSC will consider it as a decision not to appear for the exam.
